about
This is a song that I recorded with the lovely, multi-talented Caelan Creaser and my dear friend Brandon Blue. Without their hard work, and amazing voices, this track would not have come to life. The blue circle represents togetherness in the midst of sadness and struggle, an image I tried to delicately portray through the lyrics.
lyrics
If it’s not too late I’d like to stay a while,
and maybe watch the sun set with you;
hold your hand and maybe make you smile
as we both stare up at the moon.
I’d hate to keep you from your heart’s desires
So I’ll leave the choice up to you.
The sun has left me feeling oh, so tired
And I’d die if you left me too.
It doesn’t matter how, or when, or why.
Oh, can’t you see that you have changed my life?
I don’t deserve you, and I just can’t yet see
Why in the end it’s you who still loves me.
When I needed someone you were there,
And when I had no one you still cared.
With you, my love, none can compare.
In the sun, in the rain,
Although we’re young
We still know pain.
If it’s not too late I’d like to stay a while
And maybe spend the night just with you.
I can’t explain how we’ve spent so much time,
And yet every moment feels new
In every memory we share a moment where
My heart escapes just for you.
Maybe someday when the time is right
We’ll be saying “I do.”
It doesn’t matter how or when or why,
Oh, can’t you see that you have changed my life?
I don’t deserve you, and I just can’t yet see
Why in the end it’s you who still loves me.
If it’s not too late I’d like to stay a while
And maybe stay forever with you.
